– Academic Structure

The Specialization in Data Networks consists of an Introductory course with two compulsory courses, a Specialization course with three compulsory technical courses and an Integrative Final Work.

– Curriculum

Introductory course:

  • Introduction to networks (40h)
  • Introduction to the operating systems (40h)

They are planned for those students whose academic training and/or working experience lacks of basic network concepts. That is why, after a personal interview at the beginning and considering each student´s knowledge, the Director or Co-director decides if some or all of the courses of this course are passed.
All these courses are intensive, i.e they last approximately 4 weeks with 5 classes every week, starting in March in first year of the Master´s Degree. The teachers will evaluate the students´ participation and recommend them to continue or not in the Master´s Degree. The Consulting Academic Committee will decide the students´continuity based on those recommendations.

Specialty course:

  • Networking (120h)
  • Distributed systems (120h)
  • Network security and privacy (100h)

It lasts 3 quarters with 2 classes every week on average.
